Hello! I'm Aude Austruy, a former expert in procurement, and my journey to becoming a doula is a story of personal growth, deep passion, and a commitment to empowering new mothers.

As a French native who lived in Switzerland, I experienced the birth of my first child in this country. Shortly after welcoming my baby, we moved to London when she was just a month old. This transition introduced me to the unique challenges of navigating motherhood in a new and unfamiliar environment.

In London, I first learned about doulas – a kind of support I wish I had known during my transition. Facing the UK's maternity system alone was challenging. I wished for guidance through it.

Three years later, my second pregnancy in the UK was an eye-opener. Everything was different, from birth preparation to postnatal care. I chose hypnobirthing, which resulted in a wonderful birthing experience.However, even with a positive second experience, I was surprised by the limited postnatal support available. This led me to realise my true calling.

I began to assist new mum friends, and soon realised that my passion was in supporting women, ensuring their wellbeing as new mothers. It was more than just an interest; it became a career path I was eager to follow.

I undertook various training sessions and reflected on what I would have liked to know when I started this journey of motherhood. My approach is centred around a simple yet profound belief: 'happy mummy, happy baby.' I am dedicated to supporting mothers to focus on self-care and build a warm, nurturing space for their families.

Based in South London, I offer my services in person or globally via video calls. My background offers me a unique outlook, allowing me to give each mother personalised care that meets her specific needs at every step of her motherhood journey
